About Dr. Kumar Gauraw

Dr. Kumar Gauraw is a renowned Urologist, Uro-Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon with over 11 years of experience to his credit. He has been working at various renowned Hospitals of Kolkata since 2016.

Before shifting to Kolkata, Dr Kumar has experience of working at Jaslok Hospital and Hinduja Hospital, (Uro-oncology Department), Mumbai. Being a meritorious scholar, Dr Kumar has completed his MS in Surgery from prestigious AMU, Aligarh and DNB in Urology from National Board Of Examinations, New Delhi. He has also acquired Fellowship in Robotic Surgery from WLH Gurugram.

Dr Kumar has expertise in the field of Endourology, Laser Prostate Surgery (HOLEP), Laser Kidney Stone Surgery, Laparoscopic & Robotic Urology and Urological Onco-surgery (Kidney Cancers, Prostate Cancers & Urinary Bladder Cancers). Dr Kumar also has experience of enriching lives of more than 500 people through Kidney Transplant Surgery and has special expertise in doing Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomy giving minimal trauma and scar to Kidney Donors. He has done several successful Endo-urological procedures like PCNL, Mini-PCNL with Laser, Laser URS, RIRS with Laser, Flexible Ureteroscopy, Laser Prostate Surgery (HOLEP), TURP, TURBT, Laser Optical Urethrotomy etc. and almost all Laparoscopic and Robotic urological procedures including Radical Nephrectomy, Radical Prostatectomy, Partial Nephrectomy, Pyeloplasty, VVF and UVF repair.

Dr Kumar is a National Faculty for Laser Kidney Stone Surgery and trains the young Urologists to acquire these skills. He is a Full Time member of Urological Society of India, Robotic Urology Forum of India and Uro-oncology section of USI.
